麗貞同學,從世绵聽到你突然離世的訊息,深感遺憾。願她家人節哀順變,麗貞主懷安息。
My dearest “Big Sister” Cindy,
I feel truly blessed and grateful to have you in my life. You had always been the shepherd to the 6 of us, your younger siblings, even way before our parents’ passing 43 years ago. You were always there to celebrate and support us through our ups and downs, no matter what. You were a dear and loving aunt to my children. You were there when they were born and sick. With a phone call, you would travel a thousand miles from Toronto to Boston to help.
Farewell, my dearest Cindy. I am eternally grateful to have you in my life. May your legacy continue to remind and inspire us to be loving, kind and generous. May you rest in peace knowing that we will always hold you dearly in our heart.
With deepest condolences,
Janet,
aka your Marathon shopping partner!
Aunt Cindy brought joy to every visit, whether we were at her house or she was at ours. She cared for me like I was her own, always making sure I was happy, healthy, and doing well in school. She had a way of managing everything—her home, her kids, and still looking stylish—making it all seem effortless.
Many of my happiest childhood memories are with her: breakfast with smoked salmon, summer days swimming, trips to the beach, and water parks with her carefully packed lunches. I loved spending time at her house so much that I’d pretend to fall asleep just to stay the night. Even after she moved to Canada, she made sure to keep in touch through calls and letters.
Aunt Cindy was also always the one behind the camera, capturing moments that I now treasure. She might not be in many photos, but her presence is in every memory, as she was the one making sure we had those snapshots of happiness.
She was the mother I aspired to be—she set the bar high and made it all look so easy. I miss her deeply, but the memories we shared bring me comfort. She was more than just an aunt; she was a role model and a guiding light to many lives.
To my Aunt Cindy,
Some of my fondest childhood memories were with you, whether it was visiting you in Toronto or when you came to stay with us in Wellesley. You were so always so important to our family and I will never forget you. Thank you for everything and you will be missed so much.
With love,
Brendan
