In memory of

Kwai Sim Sue

September 12, 1943 -  April 12, 2025

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother Kwai Sim on April 12 at the age of 81. She now joins her husband Kam Wo in peaceful rest. She leaves behind her son Brian (Sylvia) and her daughter Yon-lin (Alex) along with her 3 grandchildren and great-grandchild. Kwai Sim was a beloved member of a large extended family. She is survived by a sister, nephews, nieces, cousins and is a well known member of her extended community. Kwai Sim emigrated to Canada in the early 1970’s and worked diligently with her husband to establish a successful business and life in her new home country. Her kindness and generosity will be sorely missed.

Kwai Sim’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Mon Sheong (Young and Elgin Mills) for their dedicated care during her residency.

So sad to hear of her passing. She will be missed by so many. Condolences to Brian and Yon-Lin’s families. She was so full of humour and that forthright-Chinese-ness no matter the challenges. I would pick up my kids from my Mom’s place, and right after supper time she would call my Mom to chat, just like clockwork.

Dear sister Sue,
It feels so unfamiliar and difficult while duty on workplace without your presence, no more heartfelt conversations with you, no more listening to the songs you loved together. But you kind voice and graceful presence will forever remain in my mind. Thank you for all the years we spent together, and for the beautiful memories you've left behind.
May you rest in peace. You will always be remembered and dearly missed.
