In memory of

Kundan Lal Katyal

January 10, 1938 -  September 6, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of Kundan Lal Katyal, who left us peacefully on September 6th, 2023.  Kundan Lal was the beloved husband to Vijay for 52 years, loving father to Seema, Neena & Calvin, and Sunil. And cherished grandpa to Shylah.

Kundan Lal will be fondly remembered by family and friends as an accomplished man who worked tirelessly to provide the best for his family. He had a generous heart and kind spirit. Kundan Lal was well known for his green thumb and infectious laugh. He found joy in debating politics and gave joy to others through his passion for singing.  In his youth he was a strong volleyball and cricket player. As an avid sports fan he cheered on the Jays, Raptors and never gave up on the Leafs. He cared about people and never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand.  He greeted everyone on his daily walks with a smile. Kundan Lal had the ability to win the admiration of those he attracted and loved. His legacy will continue to touch and inspire those left behind.  His presence will be missed by all who knew him.

Survived by his elder brother Shori Lal Katyal, whom he adored beyond measure.

The family would like to thank Dr. Rose and the nursing staff at Birchmount Hospital for their superior care.

With tears, we will miss you, Daddy!

Kundan ji, you were a giant among all and having helped so many in the community… whether it be to help them to ace their drive test or excel within the community. And your legacy is clearly visible through the actions of your children esp. Sunil and Neena. Thank you for helping so many newcomers to believe the Canadian dream. A support to so many including Lakshminarayan Temple….you WILL be sorely missed.

Very sad and tearful to learn about uncles demise. Met him only once at his residence with my cousin honey . He was a cheerful man and offered great hospitality to us at our visit.
