In memory of

Kostas Pateras

September 12, 1930 -  July 19, 2020

With an extremely heavy heart, Kostas Pateras passed away in hospital from a brief undetermined illness. Kostas is survived by his wife Magdalini Pateras; his son Tom Pateras and his wife Debra; his daughter in-law Mary Pateras (wife of predeceased son Peter Pateras); and grandchildren; Michael, Thomas, Tracy (Chechi) and Jessica (Shane). Kostas was born in Proti, Greece and immigrated to Canada with his wife and two sons. He became a manager at Dempster’s Bread and a valued member of the Greek community. He was a proud and generous man who put his family first and will be truly missed by everyone who knew him.

Dad, you welcomed me with mom to your family over 39 year ago. I was blessed to Be with Peter for 20 years and I am blessed to have Michael & Tracy as well. You were the beacon of the family. You loved to have family celebrations. You are going to be truly missed. Your sense of humour and of course your unbelievable home cooking will be missed. You left us too soon. RIP my dear father in law.

We’re saddened to hear that Uncle Gus has left us. He was a great guy and we always enjoyed his company. My mother often tells of him cradling me as a baby when he lived with us. Our deepest condolences.
