In memory of

Kosta Damovski

November 15, 1932 -  June 23, 2024

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we share the passing of Kosta Damovski. Loving Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Dedo and Great Dedo, Kosta passed away on June 23, 2024, in Scarborough, with family members by his side.

Kosta was born on November 15, 1932, in the village of German, Macedonia. The eldest son of Joshe and Petra Damovski, he was the older brother of Lena, German and Vasilka. They moved to Krivogastani in 1948, where they settled and lived.

He met the love of his life, Tomka, on a trip to Skopje in 1952. They were married on March 23 that year, and welcomed 4 children: Joshe (1953), Zora (2024), Luba and Menka. They moved to Bitola in 1959, where they lived for 11 years.

In 1970, the family moved to Canada and found a home in Scarborough. They bought their house in 1974 and lived there for almost 50 years. Kosta worked hard to support his growing family, holding several jobs before joining Magna/Master Precision, where he worked until his retirement.

Kosta and Tomka had 6 grandchildren: Louis and Mary (Luba); Steven and Linda (Zora) and Michael and Tania (Menka). They were blessed with 16 great-grandchildren: Brandon, Nathan, Christian, Austin (Mary); Mila, Luka, Lana (Louis); Victoria, Thomas (Steven); Ava, Olivia, Luca (Linda); Ethan, Lauren (Michael); Robert, Logan (Tania).

Kosta is survived by his daughters Luba (Nick) and Menka, as well as his 6 grandchildren, Louis (Zelka), Mary (Donovan), Steven (Patricia), Linda (Paul), Michael (Ginette) and Tania (Nick), and 16 great grandchildren.

Dedo Kocho, as he was affectionately known to his family, will be remembered for spending hours with Baba in their bafcha, and his love of music, chess, beer and iconic photo poses.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

May his Memory be Eternal.

Visitation will be held at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre at 625 Birchmount Road, Toronto, ON, CANADA, M1K 1R1 on Thursday June 27, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and on Friday June 28th from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Kosta ( Pappa ) , I only learned today of your passing and coincidentally it is also your birthday. I have always admired how your brought your family to Canada from Macedonia so that they could have better lives . Please know that they did do that and also the next couple of generations are enjoying what you worked so hard for. Your family always meant everything to you, your wife , your kids and the many grandkids and great grandkids. Holiday season was always a joy for all spendng time with a massive family and seeing the Patriarch and matriarch smiling with such love.
I will always remember our chess games , while it frustrated some on the time it took I will cherish you smile weither you lost or won. You made me a better player and a better man.
Miss you and love you much.
My condolences to the entire family
