In memory of

Konstantinos (Dino) Koliakos

June 14, 1937 -  March 22, 2023

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the peaceful and gentle passing of our beloved Father, Konstantinos (Dino) Koliakos on March 22nd, 2023 surrounded by family. He was born in Sparta, Greece, where he met the love of his life of 65 years, Anastasia. They moved to Montreal and eloped, where they brought their 3 beautiful girls, Angela, Patricia, and Rea into the world. He loved to cook, spend time with his grandchildren, and his beautiful wife. Dino had a love for cooking and barbecuing. His biggest love language was acts of service, specifically cooking for our entire family every time we got together.

Dino was a proud father of 3 girls, 6 grandchildren and the youngest of 6 siblings. He loved his grandchildren deeply, and had a special place in his heart for his only grand-daughter, Alexandra, or as he called her his “Princess”. There is so much to say about our father as he was very loved by everyone he knew and loved. We were so lucky to know him, to love him and be loved by him.

Dino is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soul mate of 65 years, Anastasia. His daughters, Angela Koliakos Stanton (Gary Stanton), Patricia Thornback (Dan Thornback), Rea Mcdonald (Royce McDonald). His Grandchildren, Dean Thornback, Alexandra Thornback (Brian Sullivan), Daniel Thornback, Nicholas McDonald, Christopher McDonald and Matthew McDonald. We love you, Papou. We will miss you forever.

Visitation will be held at Pine Hills Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough) on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from 4-8pm. Funeral services on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 11am with visitation from 10-11am. Interment to follow in Pine Hills Cemetery.
