It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Kong-Yeu Chung June 24, 2023. Kong was the eldest of three siblings and was known for his giving nature, optimistic attitude, and kind and gentle spirit. He was a formidable athlete, playing a variety of sports including badminton, volleyball, softball, table tennis, and mountain biking. He was a gifted musician, playing cello in high school and leading worship with his voice and guitar. He held a deep commitment to his church and community, serving as a child protection worker for 25+ years, Sunday school teacher, and youth counsellor. He is survived by his wife, Diane, and his two sons, Jonathan and Benjamin. A loving father, husband, teacher, friend, and social worker, Kong Chung made an immeasurable impact on his community and his cheerful, hopeful, and caring spirit will live on in our hearts.
