In memory of

Kiriakos Paraschis

June 21, 1930 -  November 8, 2021

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father Kiriakos on Monday Nov. 8th 2021 at the age of 91.
He was married to his predeceased wife Eleni for 71 years and proud father of Athena, Ilia and Kim and Grandfather to Alexandra and Nicholas.
Kiriakos was born in Neochoraki –Florina, Greece in 1930 and lived through a difficult world and civil war along with his parents Demetrios and Domna and three siblings, Christos, Paskalya and Glegorios. He married Eleni in 1950 and then immigrated to Canada in 1962. Soon after he brought Eleni, Athena and Ilia to Canada in 1963.
Dad lived his life as a hardworking, loyal and devoted family man. When not working, he spent countless hours tending his vegetable garden and using his carpentry skills to build things in his garage. He also enjoyed making his own wine , sharing a coffee with friends at the local greek café and watching his favourite hockey team the Montreal Canadiens. But his favourite was spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed his retirement as the doting dedo to Alexandra and Nicholas.
We will miss you dad, rest in peace and give Mom a kiss for us. You will keep each other company in paradise.

God rest your soul Uncle Kire you will be missed very dearly. I'm certain you are with Aunt Lena and are able to share your company together again. Your hearty laugh and that moustache are among the most vivid of memories of you from growing up and you are just a wonderful representation of a typical hard working, old style father from the Old Country. Will not be another like you. Rest in peace and many thoughts and prayers to the family at this time.

Athena, Louie, Kim and Families:

Your dad was one of my favourite cousins. I had known him from back home in Neohoraki and enjoyed many visits to see him and the family. He shared his knowledge about farming. I was so happy to see him arrive in Canada and I was glad to be able to find him the job that he stayed until his retirement. Also I looked forward to spending some time with him at Kosta’s Coffee Shop and catch up with family updates.

We will miss your sense of humour ,Kiriako, Rest In Peace. Now you will be together with your love of your life , Eleni.
