In memory of

Kire Stefanovski

December 22, 1930 -  June 13, 2023

It is with deep sorrow that we share the unfortunate news of the passing of Kire Stefanovski. He departed peacefully in Stouffville on June 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Kire was born on December 22, 1930, in Selo Podmocani, Makedonia. In 1964, he immigrated to Canada, and a year later, he brought his family with him, driven by the promise of new opportunities and a better life.
Kire dedicated over 30 years of his life to serving as a custodian at Michael Garron Hospital (formerly known as Toronto East General Hospital). His diligent work and commitment made a lasting impact on the hospital community. When he wasn't tending to his responsibilities, Kire found solace in his garden, enjoyed moments of relaxation on his porch, and engaged in various small projects around his home. Despite enduring numerous hardships, he remained gentle, caring, and held steadfast to his simple values, never complaining.
Kire was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Maleva Stefanovski. He is survived by his daughters, Diane (Desanka) Doucas (Louie) and Luba Allison (Dave), as well as his grandchildren: Susan Mizzi (Peter), Karl Doucas (Nicole), Denise Novis (Perry), Leah Allison, Michelle Gratton (Cory). He is also survived by his great-grandchildren: Vanessa, Arianna, Natalie, Emma, Isabella, Cooper, Peter, and Cody.
In honor of Kire's memory, contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Michael Garron Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
We express our heartfelt gratitude for your prayers and thoughts during this difficult time.

We are saddened by his passing. We remember him as a kind and gentle man, always family-oriented, and focused on others, rather than himself. He was always willing to talk about family and the old country ways, which we often spoke about when we conversed.

May his memory be eternal and his fatherly guidance be a comfort to you during this period of grief and beyond.
