It is with great sadness that, we announce that Kinh Tieu Vuong, age 91 years old has suddenly passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
Kinh was born May 7, 1932 in Vietnam to late Thong Chung & Linh Cam Vuong. She was the oldest of six children. Kinh married the late Tan Luu in 1950 and had five beautiful children.
Early in her career she was a school teacher and then eventually decided to take over her family convenient store business to provide for her family.
In 1979 she managed to escaped the Vietnam War and immigrated to Canada in 1980 to give her children a better future. She was a hard-working single mother that was resilient and eventually established her own restaurant. She ran the restaurant for 30 years before finally retiring in 2017.
She then moved to Hamilton, Ontario to live with her daughter, where she enjoyed her retirement and last moments.
Kinh will be remembered fondly by her children Muoi Tai Vuong, Tu To Vuong, Nga Hoang, Lang Tran and Kim Chung, 12 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren and host of siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation Hours are Friday, July 28th, 2023 from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Saturday, July 29th, 2023 from 10 am to 11:30 am.
