Kin-Son Tsai

April 21, 1935 -  May 20, 2022

TSAI, DR. KIN-SON (KEN) passed away suddenly due to an aggressive type of cancer at Sunnybrook Hospital (Toronto) on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the age of 87. Kin-Son was predeceased by his parents, oldest sister A-Sig Chien and older brother Shen-Chuan Tsai. He was the beloved husband of Colleen Chen. He will always be cherished and loved by his son Ken, daughter in-law Beth, grandson Ethan, living sister Kin-Yu Wu in Taiwan and many members of his extended family. Kin-Son was born on April 21, 1935 in Chiayi, Taiwan. He moved to Canada in 1966, to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Guelph University. He would then work for Pasteur Merieux Connaught Laboratories as a veterinary research virologist and director for 25 years until retiring in 2000. “Little Baba” will be remembered as being an avid Toronto Blue Jays’ fan and an oil painter who painted with passion. A Visitation will be held at York Funeral Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. & Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 2p.m. This event will be livestreamed, a link will appear at the top of this page on Thursday at 1:45 p.m. Interment to follow at York Cemetery.
