Pang Kim deep in our hearts you’ll always stay,
Loved and missed day after day…
Pang Kim, born on August 21, 1926, in the municipality of Panyu in the Province of Guangdong, China, peacefully passed away on December 30, 2023 at the age of 97. She was the devoted and supportive wife to the late Pang Kam Choi, the beloved eldest of eight brothers and sisters, and also the benevolent mother to three children.
Pang Kim's life was marked by resilience, strength, and a deep love for her family. Throughout her years, she embraced her role as the eldest sibling, providing guidance, support, and a nurturing presence to her brothers and sisters. Just after the Second World War she moved from her hometown Nancun to Hong Kong and later assisted her husband in founding their family business of a series of restaurants which ran for over four decades. As she built her family in Hong Kong, she also assisted all of her siblings to Hong Kong in hope to seek a better life. Her dedication to family values and unity served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Pang Kim's legacy extends beyond her role as a sibling. She was a pillar of strength and wisdom within her community, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Although she had already resided in Hong Kong, she never forgot her hometown where she grew up. She and her late husband made numerous donations to support their hometown since the 1960’s. Her compassionate nature and selflessness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered. In addition to her devotion to family and community, Pang Kim possessed a wealth of knowledge and experiences. Her wisdom and guidance were sought after by many, and she generously shared her insights with those around her. Her words of wisdom will continue to resonate with all who had the privilege of knowing her. Pang Kim's memory will forever be cherished by her loving family, including her siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended relatives. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to inspire future generations. As we bid farewell to Pang Kim, let us remember her as a beacon of light, a source of strength, and a symbol of unwavering love. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
