In memory of

Kevin Daniel Hodgins

March 18, 1955 -  August 27, 2021

Kevin Daniel Hodgins passed away on August 27, 2021 at the age of 66 after a short and very aggressive battle with cancer. A loving and caring husband to Linda for 42 years. Brother-in-law to Sandy Hodgins, Harold and Sandra Smith, and Donna Stockbridge. Caring Uncle to Madeline and Scott Hodgins, Brenda Inglesi, Heather McGinnity, David Smith, Amanda and Brian Stockbridge. Great Uncle to Isabelle McGinnity, Benjamin Inglesi, Cassandra and Samantha Smith. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Harris and Viola Hodgins and his brother Dean.

Kevin was an avid fisherman, enjoyed playing his guitar with friends (jazz) and also playing golf. Kevin will be greatly missed for his quiet caring nature and his sense of humour. Kevin was a private person and not looking for attention.

In keeping with Kevin's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private graveside service at Pine Hills Cemetery, Scarborough, Ontario on September 10, 2021.

Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

My condolences to Kevin’s friends and family. Kevin you were a kind friend, patient bandmate that could tolerate my missteps. I always enjoyed our time together. I’ll work on those licks and we’ll play again. Until then!

Kevin was a close friend of my late husband, as he has been to me in the years following his passing. He shared his love of music and sense of humor with others and I appreciated his intellect and conversation.
Heartfelt sympathy to Linda and family.
Kevin will be missed.
Love
Lynn

Kevin, our parents were close and we grew up across the street from each other. You will always be my baby brother.
Love always,
Charmaine

I wanted to sit with Kevin to thank him and express how important, in his own way, he was to the Blair and Smith families. We had been through many happy and sad times on our journey together. Through it all, we were blessed to be the receivers of Kevin's warm, caring ways and his sense of humour. I so admired Kevin's warm, funny and genuine personality. I always enjoyed our phone calls, there was always a chuckle to be had, even if it started out being a serious conversation.
His presence was always enjoyed by ALL the family members at gatherings, events and celebrations. Thank you Kevin, for the days you made brighter for our families, just by being yourself. With love and gratitude. Sandra

My long lasting impressions of Kevin are of an "up beat", calm and cheery guy with a lot of patience for people, especially children. He was ready and willing to help whenever needed, but did not seek attention.
I was aware of his considerable "life's burdens" though! He managed through his frequent back pain, all of his family members 'end of life' needs, and the help his wife Linda, required to get through her serious health challenges. He earned my admiration for his dedication and conscientious attention to those that he loved!
Now, with Kevin's passing on, our planet is less friendly, less caring! But we live on with a cheery, friendly memory of Kevin. Thank you very much Kevin, for everything you gave us!
