You can shed tears that he is gone
Or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
Sorry we couldnt be there to say a proper goodbye. We love you and will miss you forever Kenny!
Rest in peace. xx
Love Oliver, Rachel, Willow and bump.
Kenny, I have been saddened by your passing which was far too soon. You were the youngest of our family and I was your big sister almost 10 years older. From the time you were 12 years old and we originally came to Canada, our lives have been lived so far apart. You remained in Canada and I returned to Belfast after one year and then went to live in Australia, although there were several trips back to Canada to catch up with family.
Some of my most vivid memories of you in Canada are when you were ring bearer at my wedding and you walked up the aisle all dressed up, carrying a satin cushion on which there was the wedding ring. I remember you skating around the ice outside the appartment building, and when I came back on visits there were the times you would cook delicious meals, go to the baseball and hockey games with us, catch up at family gatherings at Mum and Dad's or Linda and Phil's, and on my last visit in 2015 Rob and I spent some time with you down at the Toronto Lake and had lunch.
Although we didn't see each other often I shall miss you and your quirky sense of humour. I am one of the lucky ones, all my memories of you are good ones, reminiscent of the happy times we spent together with the family. I hope you are at peace now, I love you Kenny, Ann.
You will always be loved. And never forgotten. Love always your favourite niece, Kimberley xo
I only met Kenny in 2005 while on a visit to Toronto with my wife Ann ( Kenny's older Sister) was also the 80th birthday of their father Frank. It was December and the snow was knee deep. Kenny was a keen supporter and skilful player of the round ball game we here in Australia call soccer and I would have loved to have him come to Australia so that we could have introduced him Aussie Rules Football. He would of loved it. Plus the weather is better over here. I have fond memories of the things we did together while in Toronto and shall think of them often. Rest in Peace Kenny
We wish we could of spent more time with you and be with you in your last days.
You have had a long fight and finally can have some comfort and peace.
We love you
Sarah, James,Isaac and Miles xx xx
