My Dad had a few passions in life....fishing, aircraft and cooking among others. At all the family gatherings he was the head chef (but NOT bottle washer) and I recall him using every pot and spoon in the house. What a mess...but what great food! And he did his share of the eating! That old adage "never trust a skinny cook" was probably coined by him. He was a contented soul, with a perpetual smile.
I will always cherish the memories of vacations in New Brunswick and Temiskaming and Kingston and visits in Alberta.
Although we were often separated by distance, we were close at heart.
We will miss you Dad!!

My dad and I spoke almost every Thursday over that last years. Remembering the stories we shared will be in my memories forever. Him wearing roller skates at his job at Canadian Tire as a young man. Reliving the places we lived through his eyes. His passion for airplanes. I got to know him better through these talks. Thursdays will never be the same.
I treasured the visits out west to see him. I understood why he fell in love with the place.
I love you and will miss you Dad
