BUTLAND, Kenneth Stanley

Kenneth passed away at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on December 31, 2024 at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Annie Butland, by his sister Pearl Geldart and her husband Lyle, by his first wife Bev Butland and by his spouse Karen Delore. Loving father of Ken (Tracey), Charlene (Ian), loving stepfather of Tia Zor. Proud Papa of Bailey, Jessie, Abigale, Carter and Noah. Kenneth was a loving uncle to Dale (Candy), Sheila, Roberta (George), Marvena (Terry) and Willa (Bruce) and will also be missed by extended family and many friends. He will be forever remembered for his great sense of humour, love of NASCAR, the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was a dedicated family man who loved going for car rides, antiquing and the great outdoors. The family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate nursing staff of Lakeridge Gardens for professionalism and care shown to Kenneth and his family. Visitation will be held at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 12 pm until time of service in the chapel at 1 pm. Interment and reception to follow. Donations will be gratefully accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

It will never be good bye Uncle Ken you will always be in my heart and thoughts, as I remember the old days back roads driving with the family all pressed into the car lol you play the guitar and dad and you singing along! Just loved them days, and so many family picnics, I still laugh the night you took me to the vet with my dog Daisy lol I thought forsure you was going to be sick omg so so many memories to list love you forever and always be in my heart, till we meet again! I will be climbing the stairs to heaven one step at a time with big hugs for you!

On behalf of all of us, our deepest condolences. We have nothing but fun, happy memories growing up around Ken and the gang. There’s too many stories to tell here. A lot of you were there first hand to witness them at the Thunderbird. Rest in peace Ken.
