Kay (Latsa) Alexiou passed away quietly on Tuesday, December 11th in her 90th year. She was pre-deceased by husband Stavros Alexiou. She was a loving mother to daughter Mary (Paul) Neretlis and son George (Christine) Alexiou, and loving Baba to grandchildren Vasyana, Deandra, Jordan and Karen, and especially her "Dete Na Baba" Murphy. Famous in her circle for her artistic talent in crocheting, knitting and dress making; avid gardener, especially of her piperki (green peppers) and domati (tomatoes); best zelnik and vielnik baker, not to mention her chureiki. Thanks to all who assisted during the last several months with home care, and all at Woodhaven Long Term Care Residence who made her final few months comfortable and allowing her to be part of a social and uplifting atmosphere. May she rest in peace.
