Kay Kikue Tsunokawa

September 3, 1941 - November 5, 2022

Kay Kikue Tsunokawa of Etobicoke, Ontario passed away peacefully on November 5, 2022, at Etobicoke General Hospital, after a short illness at 81 years of age.
Kay is survived by her loving husband, Bob Tsunokawa. She is also survived by her sister, Jackie Murata, and many nieces and nephews.
She was born to the late Fumiko Sumi and Kazuo Matsumoto on September 3, 1941, in Ozaki, Japan. Kay spent most of her childhood in Yonago, Japan with her mother, sister and grandmother. She then immigrated to Canada in 1954.
After retiring from a long and fulfilling career at the Bank of Montreal, Kay was actively involved with seniors’ classes and activities including 10-pin bowling and lawn bowling. Kay and Bob loved to travel and some of her favourite places were the Caribbean, South America, Europe, Asia and Alaska.
Next year would have been their 50th wedding anniversary.
The family is having a small, private memorial service at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre. Written tributes and photos may be submitted and will be posted to this website. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favourite charity.
