In memory of

Katica Juras

March 28, 1946 -  April 12, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Katica Juras (Kovacic), 79 on Saturday, April 12, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Cherished mother of Manuella (Kevin) Pascoe, Gordon (Tanya) Juras and Susanne (Harry) Olsen, beloved grandmother (Baka) to Devin, Matthew and Kristen Pascoe, Christopher and Nicole Juras, and Katelyn, Lucas and Holley Olsen, she will be deeply missed. Katica is predeceased by her husband of over 56 years, Tomo Juras, and her sister Barica Hizar. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and extended family in Croatia, the US and Canada.

Katica was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Joseph the Worker parish in Oshawa, where she so enjoyed catching up with her church friends every Sunday. She was recognized in her community as a sweet lady with a sense of humour who was welcoming and lovely to talk to. She will be fondly remembered for her warm smile, her bountiful gardens, her homemade soup and her great courage. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the many doctors, nurses, psw’s and other members of her extensive care team for their compassion and kindness.

Any donations will be gratefully accepted for Sunnybrook Hospital or The Canadian Cancer Society.
