Kathleen 'Kay' Emma Cheesman

April 23, 1925 - January 17, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kay Cheesman, who peacefully passed away at home on Saturday January 17, 2026.

Kay was the loving wife of the late Stanley Harold Cheesman. Mother to the late Nancy Cheesman and survived by her sons Robert (Cathy), Larry (Ann), Gary, and Randy (Edie). She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jenny, Jason (Jen), Sarah (Adam), Jennah (Kyle), Ryan (Samantha) as well as her great grandchildren Kayden, Nolin, Nicholas, Evelyn, and Brock.

Kay worked for the railroad in the telegraph office prior to meeting her husband, Stan. She spent many years caring for children, not only her own, before joining Fuller Brush Sales team. Kay went on to Supreme Aluminum, making pots and pans on an assembly line. Prior to retirement, she spent several years as a demonstrator for food and appliance sales.

Kay loved to garden, make crafts and spend time with family. Anyone she met became her friend for life.
She will be truly missed.

We are saddened to hear of Kay’s passing and are grateful to have had the opportunity to know this amazing women.
We will treasure our memories and lunch visits where we shared some laughs and stories (Kay’s love of fishing!)
Most memorable lunch visit with Kay was being part of her 100th Birthday celebration. We will cherish that memory forever….. it was so special.
She was such a bright light and will be missed.

Condolences to Kay’s family. She will certainly be missed - her smiles, laugh and warmth.

I had the marvellous opportunity to see Kay at least twice a week as her PSW. It did not take long for her to leap into my heart. She was smart, witty and sweet. I called her Queen Kay as she deserved the very best. Kay cared about her family so much and never took them for granted. She often worried they did too much for her…. I know they did it with love and respect.

To Kay’s family, thank you for making me feel so special on each visit. To Kay - I will miss seeing you and sharing our secrets. It was such an honour to spend time with you.
