June 7, 1958 - July 18, 2023

Passed away peacefully at age 65 on July 18, 2023 at Hospice Huronia. Kathy courageously battled her Cancer until the very end. Born June 7, 1958 in Toronto, ON to John and Lillian Dolan (nee Bauer). Predeceased by her beloved husband Dennis of 36 years. Kathy is survived by her loving sons Sean (and Jill) and Scott (daughter Amelia), sister Eileen (and Michael), sister Kelly (and Nelson), sister Carol Anne (and John), sister Sharon and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Kathy will be sorely missed by her colleagues, but especially her family. She was a companionate, caring and selfless individual who looked after the needs of others, often sacrificing her own needs.

Kathy was a puzzle wizard, often astonishing friends and family at the large jigsaws she would complete in record time. Friends may call at the ELGIN MILLS CEMETERY & VISITATION CENTRE, 1591 Elgin Mills Rd., E., Richmond Hill (east of Leslie St., 905-737-1720), on Monday, July 24 from 1-2:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Richmond Hill Chapel at 2:00 p.m. followed by interment at the Elgin Mills Cemetery.

Memorial Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Kathy’s name to Hospice Huronia, 948 Fuller Avenue Penetanguishene, ON, L9M 1G7.

The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff of Hospice Huronia for their care and compassion.

Kathy and I meat at Aurora Senior Center, playing Bid Euchre. We enjoyed each others company right away and became very good friends. Her presence was truly cherished. We spent as much time as we could together, gardening, going on day trips and visiting friends and family. We so hoped for some good days this summer to get to places we had interest in. The memories we had created will never be forgotten. She was a wonderful woman who was loved by all.

With a deeply saddened heart she will be extremely missed, but she’ll always be forever held in my heart.
