Katherine Amodeo
January 20, 1933 - December 29, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Katherine (Kay) Amodeo on December 29th, 2025. She died peacefully at her residence, just a few weeks short of her 93rd birthday. Beloved wife of Augustino (Gus) for 63 years, loving mother of Domenic (Shirley) and Michele, grandmother (Nana) to Katelyn (Tyler Winn), Domenic Jr. (Rachel Pitoscia), and Melissa, and great-grandmother to Sophie. She was predeceased by her husband Augustino (Gus) Amodeo, mother and father Aletha and Arthur Burtt, and brothers Max and Clifton.
Katherine enjoyed listening to music, cooking and baking, playing cards, doing puzzles, and spending time with family. She will be remembered for her kindness and devotion to her family. We are especially grateful to Sharon and other caregivers who helped keep her comfortable in her last days with us. A private service was held for the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
Katherine will be always loved and forever missed.
