Katarzyna “Katherine” Mazur, 93, died November 5, 2019, with family by her side in Mississauga, Ontario.

A memorial service will be held Friday at The Simple Alternative Funeral - Mississauga (1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga).

She was born December 11, 1925, in Poland, and came to Canada following World War Two, in 1950.

Katherine spent many warm summers up north near Georgian Bay at the cottage with her husband Ignacy, who preceded her in death.

Her interests included family, gardening and cooking. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members.

Katherine is survived by her daughter Barbara Stanisz (along with her husband John) and her son Tony (predeceased daughter-in-law Hazel) with grandchildren Mark, Joseph, Sabrina, Tesha and Bill; along with great-grandchildren Matthew, Emily, Sarah, Barbara, Johnny, Lucas and Blaire.

A mass will be held for Katherine at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish (4260 Cawthra Rd, Mississauga) after which she will be laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery (6933 Tomken Rd, Mississauga).
