Karl Friedrich Rilling age 103 of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2023.
Born in Dusslingen, West Germany on April 4, 1920 to Karl and Hilde Rilling (nee Konz).

Karl married his wife Irmgard Rilling (nee Ahrens) on Dec 28, 1951, for over 60 years. They emigrated to Canada after the war and made a home in Toronto. Together they loved to travel Europe, visits with family, caring for their dogs, gardening and participating in church activities. After his war time service of 5 years, and 5 years more as POW, he worked as a die-pressman for 40 years until he retired.

Karl is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Irmgard. He is survived by his son Michael Rilling, wife Noryne Bennett-Rilling and daughter Erin Bennett-Rilling, along with his daughter Greta Adusei, her daughter Sheena Adusei and her daughter Royàl Adusei.

The funeral will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at 375 Mount Pleasant Road on July 14, 2023 from 1-2 PM. Meet in the parking lot of the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home, on the property to progress to the graveside service together.

Celebration of life will be followed at the Granite Restaurant at 245 Eglinton Ave E from 2-4pm which is on the corner of Mount Pleasant and Eglington, free underground parking available off Mount Pleasant Road.
