Karl Anton Gritsch

May 6, 1937 - February 8, 2019

Karl passed away peacefully in his home and surrounded by his family in his 81st year. Son of the late Karl and Franziska Gritsch. Beloved husband of Hannelore Gritsch (nee Stumm). He will be greatly missed by his brother Manfred (Elisabeth) and Anneliese (Adolf) of Stuttgart, Germany and his many nieces and nephews also in Germany. He will be greatly missed by his daughter Andrea (Mark) and his favourite Enkelkind Alexandra. Karl was born in Stuttgart, Germany. After marrying his sweetheart together they immigrated to Toronto in 1960. He had a long and fulfilling career with Magna International until his retirement in 1993. In lieu of flowers donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

I personally did not know Karl very well, and have only met him a few times over the past 40 years. But from conversations with my family, Arno and Christa, I did know what type of man he was. Hard working, enjoying the simple pleasures of life, as depicted in the photograph. But most of all, a family man. Caring, loving and devoted. Hannelore, my thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Möge Karl in ewigem Frieden ruhen.
