Karen Mary Russell, beloved mother, nanny, sister, aunt and friend passed away on June 4, 2024, at the age of 64. She was born on March 17, 1960, in Restigouche, New Brunswick, and lived in Toronto.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Beulah. She leaves behind her siblings Bruce(Tammy), Boyd(Claire), Cindy(Cathy), and Shawn(Nina) who will remember the countless shared memories.

Family was of utmost importance to Karen, and she adored her grandchildren Savannha(Josh), Noah, Shawna, and Logan. The time she spent with them over the years brought happiness to her life. Karen’s children, Tara and Jc(Joanie), were her pride and joy, and she loved them dearly. She was a loving aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Karen shared a special bond with her pets over the years. Smokey, Pepper, Tucker, Phoenix, Zoey, Thumper, and in the end Oliver. They were not just animals to her, but her cherished fur babies who provided her comfort and unconditional love.

Karen had a zest for life and enjoyed indulging in her favorite hobbies. She delighted in scratching tickets, always hopeful for a big win, and found solace in tending to her balcony gardens over the years.

When it came to her favorite foods, Karen had a weakness for Reese's peanut butter cups, indulging in the sweet treat whenever she could. She also had a soft spot for Orange crush or a ginger ale.

Karen Mary Russell will forever be remembered for her kind heart, infectious laughter, and love for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
