In memory of

Karen Loris Routledge

September 18, 1944 -  January 13, 2023

It is with heavy hearts the Routledge family announces the passing of Karen Loris Routledge (Denny).

Karen was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Her memory will be treasured by her two sons, family and friends.

Loving wife to the late Roy Ellis Routledge and proud mother to sons Scott (Kristen) and Robert (Kathie).
Devoted daughter of the late Earl and Loris Denny (Robson). Survived by her beloved sister Dianne (Sydney Mills), who she loved dearly.

An epic love story, Karen now joins Roy. They built a strong marriage that inspires others and over the 60 years they were together resided in the east end of Toronto, Peterborough and most recently in Oshawa, Ontario. Her sons remember them fondly dancing to Elvis and laughing together.

She will be remembered for her daily phone calls to catch up and enjoying her grandchildren’s sporting and dance activities. They also all have fond memories of her delicious homemade strawberry jam.

Karen loved the simple things of life but mostly the comfort of her home. She will be deeply missed and cherished in our hearts.

Private funeral service for Karen to be held at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Home, 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation is greatly appreciated.

So many memories, cousins by blood, friends by choice. Time passed, we lived apart but always remained close at heart. Throughout my life Karen touched me in ways I will never forget, and I am going to miss her. Please know Scott, Rob and your families, you are on the minds and in the hearts of so many who care.
