Surrounded by her family and friends, Karen passed away on Friday October 17, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa after a short battle with cancer.

Beloved Mother to son, Adam (Carlee) and daughter Laura (Travis).

Loving gramma to Tristan, Aisling and Adeline.

Dear sister to Patti (Amit), aunt to Jamie (Josh) and great aunt to Emma.
Karen will truly be missed.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to all the doctors and wonderful nurses at Lakeridge Health Oshawa for their wonderful care and compassion.

A Celebration of Karen’s life will be held at a later date. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to THORNTON FUNERAL CENTRE (1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, 905-579-6787).

Karen never entered a room without instantly being the belle of the ball and making all sorts of new friends. She was beautiful, smart, feisty and funny as hell. I am privileged to have had her as one of my dearest friends and I’m not quite sure how I’m going to navigate this world without her love and support. I send my love to her wonderful family who made her happier than anything else.
