In memory of

Kam Pui Ho

January 10, 1934 -  February 21, 2023

Kam Pui Ho, of Mississauga, Ontario, passed away on February 21, 2023 at the age of 89.

Kam was born on January 10, 1934 to Woo Man and Hung Ki Ho in Foshan China, near Guangzhou. After graduating from high school he went on to study engineering at National Taiwan University. He then went to The Technical University of Nova Scotia (now Dalhousie University) to study his Masters of Engineering.

Kam’s hard work eventually led him to a career in public service, where he worked for the Region of Peel until retirement.

Anyone who knew Kam knew that he was the most loving husband, father and grandfather a family could ask for. Kam met his wife, Nancy Yu at Toronto Chinese Presbyterian Church and were married on August 17,1968. They went on to have two children, Elaine married to Jeff Shikaze, with daughters Megan, Kaitlyn and Sarah, and Joshua, married to Mandy Ho, with son, Cameron. Kam was predeceased by his wife Nancy of 44 years.

Kam’s dedication to Jesus Christ and the church has been unwavering. He served God as a long time elder at the Toronto Chinese Presbyterian Church. After they moved to Mississauga, he became an active member of the Mississauga Chinese Baptist Church, where he continued to serve for many years.

Kam was well known to the church community as a hard working and dedicated community member, who often gave his time through his participation in various commitments and activities such as leading Sunday school, prayer groups, and by helping to drive seniors to church each week.

Kam had always been active with World Vision and sponsoring children in need. He sponsored many children over the years and sometimes up to 10 children at a time. In his memory, we ask that if anyone is so inclined, they donate to World Vision at this link.

The family thanks the nursing staff and Dr. Joo-Meng Soh at Trillium Health Partners Mississauga for their wonderful care and compassion while Kam was in the hospital.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on February 28, 2023 followed by a funeral service and burial at 2:00 pm at York Cemetery and Funeral Center, 160 Beecroft Rd, North York, ON M2N 5Z5.
