In memory of

Kam Choy

June 3, 1943 -  October 16, 2021

Choy Kam Yoon passed away peacefully while asleep the afternoon of Saturday October 16, 2021. Following a hard fought, 3-month struggle with lung cancer, Choy Kam Yoon decided, with a heavy heart, to take his rest. He will always be remembered as a dedicated husband, steadfast father, reliable brother, supportive uncle, doting grandfather, and true friend.

Choy Kam Yoon enjoyed life and the company of others; many times simply happy to watch the world go by. Son to humble parents and brother to 11 siblings from Ipoh Malaysia, Kam nurtured strong friendships since his earliest days of school, before immigrating to Canada with his wife, Lai Sau May in 1973. Fostering a talent for numbers and organization, Kam was grateful to build upon a career as a successful accountant. In Canada, Kam and May had 2 sons, establishing Brampton, Ontario as his new home for the next 48 years. Kam is survived by his wife Lai Sau May who stood by his side every second to the moment of his departure, his 2 sons, daughter-in-law, and his beloved grand-daughters.

As wished upon him by his loved ones that have gone before, he sincerely hopes for those that remain to enjoy the brief moments of life, simply watching the world go by. He looks forward to seeing us all again.

Choy is such a great friend. We are so blessed to have met him and develop beautiful memories with him. He is always so humble and cheerful, full of humour and generosity.
We are also from Ipoh. Time spent in Ipoh with him and Sau May,will always be treasured in our hearts. We are grateful to God for gifting us a wonderful friend. May he be blessed with eternal rest and may the perpetual light shine upon him. Rest in peace dear Choy . We will miss you.
