It is with great sadness that the family of Joe Leung announces his passing on September 11, 2018 at the age of 72. He died unexpectedly while hiking during his vacation to Yunnan, China.

Joe was born August 23, 1946 in Guangdong, China. He graduated from New York University in 1969 and immigrated to Canada in 1974. Much of his 40+ years career was spent with the IBM International Internal Audit team, allowing him to travel and work around the world. A world traveller at heart, he enjoyed travelling and learning about other cultures and languages. He retired in 2012 and spent his retirement with family, travelling, hiking and learning Spanish. With an easy-going demeanor and a calm and friendly presence, he was beloved by all those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Joe is survived by his mother, Hang Foon Leung; two brothers, Andrew and Clement (Oriana); two nephews, Thomas and Jason (Sharon); and grand-niece, Ailsa.

Funeral services is scheduled for 9:00 a.m., Sunday, October 7 at York Cemetery. A lunch gathering to honour Joe Leung will be held at 12:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, at Asian Legend (Finch and Leslie).

我們敬愛的梁繼祖先生, 於2018年9月11日, 在雲南省旅行登山時離世, 享壽72歲。

繼祖生於1946年8月23日在廣東肇慶。 1969年畢業於美國紐約大學。1974年移民加拿大多倫多, 在IBM的國際核數團隊工作。 在40多年的工作期間, 他曾到IBM全球的分公司核數。他熱愛旅行和學習當地文化與語言。 2012年退休後, 除了照顧家人, 還喜愛旅行, 行山及學習西班牙語。 繼祖待人誠懇, 熱心助人的性格, 令我們對他更覺懷念。

現謹擇於2018年10月7日, 星期日, 上午九時, 假多倫多約克墓園舉行送別儀式及安葬。當日中午12時, 於北約克味香村(Finch/Leslie)設解穢酒。
