Anne Marie Wilson

Joyce was born on August 2, 1931 at St Michael's Hospital, Toronto to loving parents George and Evelyln Veitch (nee Cleary).
She later welcomed a little brother Bruce to their family.

Joyce grew up in the east end of Toronto with many years on Cambridge Ave.
An excellent student , Joyce accelerated grade 4 and graduated from Eastern Commerce High School.

She enjoyed golf , skating, skiing, baseball, travelling and loved going to the movies.

Growing up during the depression and war years she took great pride in saving for and purchasing items that she would include in care packages to her Uncles serving overseas during WW 2.

Joyce began a career at Ford Canada and ended as an Executive Secretary for a V.P.. while she continued to support her fathers Printing Business.

In 1953 together with her Uncle Arnold, they set sail for a Tour of Europe.
Timing could not have proven better as she not only witnessed Queen Elizabeth Coronation to the Throne, but also attended a private audience and touched hands with Pope Pius 12th while in Rome.

Joyce and family were active volunteers, most notably involved with the building of Our Lady Of Fatima's Shrine and Providence Villa Health Centre.

In 1960 she married William (Bud) Wilson and together they raised 4 children in Parkview Hills, East York. Many years were spent at Baseball, Hockey and Figure Skating events.

Joyce was a loyal and avid reader of books and newspapers , luckily her children had Toronto Star Paper routes.

Her children all remembered how Dad drove all of us to sporting events while Mom held down the fort. Mom was an expert at helping us with school work and projects her specialty , helping us the night before the project was due.

Mom never complained, and always was there for her family and others.
She always told us stories of growing up with loving parents , Uncles and Aunts
Even during her last few months while at the Hospital and Providence Villa
All the Nurse's commented on what a great patient she was, and how fast she could complete a crossword puzzle.

Mom always enjoyed a good hot cup of tea.
