July 23, 1934 - June 22, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Audrey Shields (Edgar) suddenly at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on June 22nd, 2019. Predeceased by her husband, Jerry, she is survived by her children, Cathy (Gord), Sherri-Lynn (Dave), Jamie,Jo-Anne (Glenn), Michelle (Vern) and Sue (Steve). Grandma to Chris (Jewell), Tim, Amanda (Ty), Shaun, Melissa, Jamie-Lee (Jeremy), Katlyn, Jennifer, Lexy and Michael. Great-grandmother to Trysta, Grayden, Brody, Nathan, Charlie and Nevaeh. Special thanks and gratitude to the staff at Fairview Lodge in Whitby for their care and compassion given to our mother during her stay there. Family was everything to Joyce and she will be dearly missed but we know she will always be watching over us. We love you Mom. In lieu of flowers donations to Fairview Lodge Recreation Department in memory of Joyce Shields would be appreciated by the family.
