Joyce Mabel Bent, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend to many, passed on December 28th, 2024 in her 84th year. Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Jessie and Frank Mooney, her long-time partner, Grant Bigelow, and her grandson, Dyllon. Joyce is survived by her son Robert (Leo), sister Irene (Gilles), granddaughter Tatiana, grandson Jaiden, niece Danielle and nephew David.

The family wishes to thank Lorna Dikken for not only caring for Joyce but also being a good friend to her for over 3 decades. Joyce was born in Montreal and started working straight out of high school for Nortel Networks. She then moved to Brampton in 1968 where she completed her 35-year career at Nortel. Joyce was a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League for over 30 years.

Her loss is greatly felt by her family, church and community. A Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 66A Main Street, Brampton on Saturday, January 11th at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Joyce’s name to a charity of your
choice.
