Joyce Waverley Bacchus

January 6, 1932 -  May 14, 2021

Psalm 23, Yea Thou I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall Fear no evil.

We sadly announce the passing of Joyce Bacchus in her 90th year after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born in Guyana, she was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Wilton Bacchus. Joyce leaves her wonderful son Lloyd (Marilyn), special daughter Sherry (Danny), Grand-children Stephen (Mo), Jeremy (Zaleena), Jason (Renée), David (Maria), Nadia (Viton), Dion and Marcia, Great-grandchildren Sierra, Desirée (Drew), Jamal, Janée, Shaniece, Jaélon, Jaliéce, Jaéya, Jovanni, Anastasia, Isiah and Ava and Great-great grandchild Patrick. She was a beloved sister of Kay, Leila and Fern and an unforgettable aunt to Caroline, Andrew (Bethany), Megan (Tyler) and Nicholas (Erin).
Special thanks to the staff at Deerwood Creek in Etobicoke for taking care of Joyce the last few years and where they enjoyed her beautiful singing, praying and giving thanks for their wonderful service to her at any given time. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.

On behalf of the Bacchus family, my mother Devanee Bacchus, my wife and children, we thank the lord for you and all that you have given us. You are now with Papa Willow again. Your undying faith in Jesus, has given us all strength and uplifted us. You will be remembered as a true Saint, a more faithful person I have never met or ever will. You may be physically gone now, but the memories and your legacy will live on forever. Love you Mama Joyce.
