Passed away peacefully in her home on December 20, 2023. She spent her final years in her home supported by a network of caregivers, especially her primary PSWs Helen and Jeannie who helped her remain independent in her own home.

Joyce was born in Glasgow in 1938 and immigrated to Canada in the 1970’s making Toronto her permanent home. Known for her humour, kindness and welcoming personality, Joyce will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will leave an indelible mark on the lives of her loved ones. While short in stature, Joyce had a large presence and warm smile for everybody she encountered. She is survived by her loving daughter, Pam Lovell and sister Carol Anne Graham and her family.

Her cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date in the spring. Joyce’s family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. In lieu of flowers or memorial gifts the family asks that special memories you have of Joyce be shared on the memorial page to honour her memory.
