Joshua Carles

Joshua Carles passed away on January 23, 2022. Joshua was born in Sabadell, Spain on April 16, 1940. He moved to Canada as a young child and settled in the west end of Toronto. He was an accomplished Barber with his own shop for much of his life. Joshua married Lina Hulguin in 1982 and had sons Joshua Isaac Carles in 1983 and Reuben Lee Carles in 1985. After retiring, Joshua travelled the world extensively. Joshua and his wife Lina built another home in the Philippines and frequently travelled back and forth from Canada. Joshua was also a strong man of faith, actively involved in the life of the church. Known for his kindness, humour and caring personality, Joshua will be missed by a very large group of friends and family with cherished memories of him.

Joshua is survived by his wife Lina Carles, sons Joshua Isaac Carles and Reuben Lee Carles, daughter in law Jessa Carles and grandsons Jayven Francis Carles and Jettson Joshua Carles

Lina, Josh Jr. and Reuben,

Words cannot express the sorrow I felt reading about Joshua and his passing. I remember alm the times we would come over to your home on our lunch break or spares and Mr. Carles (as I always called him) would always have something witty to say or would just plainly have a good conversation with us. He was such a wonderful man, my life was better by knowing him. I'm so sorry for your loss. God Bless you all!
