In memory of

Joshua Banitsiotis

October 27, 1983 -  December 15, 2021

It is with the heaviest of hearts we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Joshua. Predeceased at a young age by his father, Paul Banitsiotis, his unexpected loss has left an irreparable void for his mother Maria Filomena, his sisters Eleftheria (John-Paul) and Alexandra (Nico) and their children. Joshua’s heart was as big as his infectious smile, which endeared him to anyone lucky enough to know him. A smart yet sensitive soul; his teddy bear like stature, kindness and sharp wit made for a rare and perfect combination we find in a few. It perhaps lent itself best to his most cherished role of Uncle Josh to his niece Isabella and nephews Julian, Gabriel and Christian whom he adored and shared his happiest moments. Joshua loved with all of his being, and although God took him too soon, his impact will be forever sketched on our souls. He will forever be missed by his family and friends, as well as his extended family in Canada, Portugal and Greece. May he Rest In Peace and may his memory be eternal.

With sorrow and sadness in my heart I send you my deepest condolences. I remember Josh as a fun loving brother and Son. Words cannot express how terribly sorry I am to hear about this tragic, sudden loss. Gone too soon. May God give you all strength during this very difficult time. Sending you love and prayers.

With the heaviest heart we send our condolences to the whole family. There are really no words to express how I felt when I heard my cousin (yes - I will always call him that) and god brother had passed. Sadness, regret, anger - all feelings I had thinking about how unfair this thing we call life can be to those we care about. While we haven’t remained as close as either of us may have wanted, as close as we once were, it changes nothing about how I feel about Josh. I have fond memories of us as kids - fishing, sleepovers, mischief - yes there was lots of that! Nouna, Leffie, Sandra - my thoughts and prayers are with you and while I can’t be there to say it in person - I love you all. Rest In Peace Josh - may you and your Dad be united once again. Love you cousin!
