Passed away peacefully on Saturday in her 92nd year.
Loving wife of 54 years to Joe (pre-deceased), cherished mother to Patti (pre-deceased) and Larry (Nancy). Loving Nana to Alicia (Jared), Kaila (Michael), Brendan (Emma) and Jordan and Great-Nana to Layla, Sawyer and Hayden.
Born into a large family in Co. Derry, Ireland, emigrated to Canada in 1953, and fondly remembered by her extended Irish family.
She will be remembered as a gracious hostess and wonderful cook and baker, always baking cookies and banana bread for her grandchildren and their friends. She was also an avid gardener at their home in Toronto, their condo in Marco Island, Florida, as well as at her home in Mississauga.
Throughout her life, she and Joe travelled extensively including Europe, Ireland, Carribean, Australia and Polynesia.
We will not forget her feistiness, love of sunshine and warm weather and a Gin & Tonic with lots and lots of ice.
We know that you are at peace and will live on in our hearts forever.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Sunday April 2nd, 2023 from 1-4:30 pm at Cuchulainn's Irish Pub, 158 Queen Street South in Streetsville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Trillium Foundation.
