Josephine Aboufarah

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine Aboufarah, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, who left this world peacefully on January 15, 2025, at the age of 76.

Josephine was a pillar of strength, compassion, and love to all who knew her. Her fiery spirit and sense of humour left an indelible mark on everyone she knew or met. She was deeply devoted to her family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her loved ones.

Josephine is survived by her cherished daughters, Nicole and Lillian, her loving son-in-law, William, and her treasured grandchildren, Ethan and Jacob, who were the light of her life. She is also lovingly remembered by her dear brothers Joseph (wife Vera); Tanal (wife Jacqueline), Kamal (wife Roula) and her sister Georgette (late husband Elias), and all of her nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A memorial service for Josephine will be held at the Meadowvale Funeral Centre (7732 Mavis Road in Brampton L6Y 5L5) on Monday January 20th, 2025 with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 and a mass and burial (held at Beechwood Cemetery 7241 Jane St, Concord L4K 1A7) to follow.

Josephine will be remembered for her unwavering love, her passion for creativity, and the beautiful legacy of kindness and faith she leaves behind. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

Mama Josephine...I spent so many hours, days and nights in your home and you always treated me like family...like another daughter. I truly feel I can claim to be part Lebanese because of it :). I will never forget your acceptance, your kindness, your laugh, your straight forwardness nor your amazing strength against all odds which you've lovingly passed to your daughters. I pray you will rest in peace and continue to guide and comfort the loved ones you have left behind. My condolences, thoughts, prayers and hugs go out to all of the family.
