Peacefully at Meighen Manor in Toronto on June 16, 2018 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of Diane for 62 years. Loving Pop of Peter (Kathy), Danny & Patti. Proud grandfather of Charlotte. Brother of Anne Gummow, brother-in- law of Mike (Maria) Vasiloff; predeceased by sister Peggy. Joe owned The Lucky Strike Grill in downtown Oshawa for many years. He loved the Golf Channel and played the game well into his 80s. Friends & relatives are invited for visitation at THORNTON CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 1200 Thornton Road North, Oshawa, (South of Taunton Road and off of Dryden Blvd, 905-579-6787) on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 1 pm – 3 pm. Eulogy at 2 pm. Cremation has taken place. Burial service at a later date. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to The Salvation Army or charity of your choice.

Our condolences to Joe's family. We will remember Joe fondly from the Sabre Restaurant at the Oshawa Centre. Joe was always a very friendly person to work with and had a great sense of humor also. Rest in peace Joe.
