In memory of

Joseph Listro

May 11, 1939 -  December 28, 2021

With great sadness we say goodbye to Joseph (Giuseppe) Listro, who passed away peacefully on December 28, 2021 at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa, after struggling with advanced dementia. Joe was in his 83rd year.

Joe left his beloved wife, Phyllis (Luccia), on the 61st anniversary of their elopement. Joe was also the cherished father to Sebastian (Sam) and his partner Denise, grandfather (Nonno) to Felicia (Patrick), Kirsten and Jayden, dear brother to Dina (and the late Pietro), Peter (Jo-Ann), Art (Leslie), Aurora (Don) and Nina, and brother-in-law to Joe (Cathy), and uncle (Zio) to many.

Special thanks to the amazing nurses and caregivers at Hillsdale Terraces, Forest Hill Wing. Your patience and love towards Joe will not be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society in Joe’s memory would be appreciated.

Access to the livestream will appear on this memorial page at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday January 4th, 2022

Although we didn't always see eye to eye at times this is what siblings do. In the end we are still family. I will miss you my brother. Your pain and suffering has finally come to an end. May your heart and soul finally be at peace. I love you Joe. I will miss you...❤😥
