In memory of

Joseph (Joe) Crofts

November 12, 1962 -  February 8, 2022

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Joe, surrounded by his family and their love. Loving husband, soulmate, and best friend to Deanna, devoted and proud father to Justin, Natalie and father-in-law to Nolan. Joe was "little brother" to his sisters Wendy, Leslie and Susan, a loving son-in-law to Anne, brother-in-law to Pamela, Matthew, Carey and Janet and a dearly loved Uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Joe was dedicated to his family and always centered his world around them, being with them through every step, coaching his children, being a fan, role model and close companion. He enjoyed his family time at the cottage, relaxing by the lake and loved nature and the outdoors. A lifelong athlete, Joe was good at any sport he played and participated on many teams over the years. He excelled in hockey, winning many awards and also played football, baseball and golf. Joe had a successful career, working in publishing for over 30 years, and most recently at The Northern Miner which he thoroughly enjoyed. Family, friends, colleagues and teammates alike will miss Joe's ready smile and laughter, his kind and gentle spirit and the way he made all of us feel good to be in the circle of his love.

Words cannot describe the sadness and loss we are all feeling. Uncle Joe was happy, active, charismatic, down-to-earth and decent. He loved deeply and was profoundly loved by his friends and family. I miss him and wish I would have made a greater effort to stay more connected.

As I lie here in a pool of tears

A smile does cross my face

The tears are not of sadness but of a happy place

A place that filled with so much love, where memories abound

I will always carry you in my heart; you will always be around

I love you, Joe

My heart is broken thinking of my dear friend "Joey's" passing. My memories of your kind, generous, honest character will always remain in my heart. I was forutnate enough to share many great times as neighborhood kids - teenager, and growing as adults. Our deepest condolences go out to Deanna, Nathalie, Justin, and the family.
Love you forever Joe!!

What can I say other than that Joe was great guy. Fun to work with, and to travel with when we had shows together, diligent, a good team player, humble, never cut anybody's grass, and he is going to be missed by us. He was one of the glue-guys that held us together and made work enjoyable. I have a lot of fond memories of Joe.
My condolences and prayers for your family.
