In memory of

Joseph D'Angelo

October 13, 1923 -  May 21, 2018

Joseph passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 21st with his beloved wife Ruth and daughter Jo by his side. A longtime resident of Don Mills, 'Mr. D' was a well-known coach in the Don Mills Civitan Hockey League. An avid golfer, Joe was an original member of the Toronto Board of Trade G.C. having joined in 1965. Joe enjoyed his last day at the Mens Tuesday Night Club on May 15.

As a wireless operator and air gunner for the RCAF during WWII, he was very proud to have been a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. As Chairman of the annual Veterans Day golf tournament at the Board of Trade G.C. for thirty years he was the driving force behind its success.

A dear and kind man, Joe leaves behind his ever so loving wife Ruth, his sons Peter (Jan), Paul (Sue), daughters Jo Fotopoulos (Ted), and Sue Bulmer (Francis). Always a very proud Grandfather, 'Poppa' will be terribly missed by his grandchildren Sarah, Laura, Stephen (Vanessa), Christopher (Lindsey), Emma, Tessa, Alexa, and Matt and great-grandchildren Hanna, Thomas, and Evelyn.

Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jeffrey Chin for his many years of dedicated care.

No funeral by request. A Celebration of Life will take place at Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre, (375 Mt. Pleasant Rd. East gate entrance off of Mt. Pleasant Rd) on Saturday, May 26 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Memorial Reception will start at 11am followed by a Eulogy at 12pm with refreshments to continue until 2pm.

I was lucky enough to meet Joe last year when I started, I would always be sure to stop and chat with him at lunch before men's night. Joe brightened everyone's day, such a kind man. I was grateful chat with him on his final men's night, his regular seat will never be filled with such kindness.
Sincerely,
Dave Newsome

I have a picture on my window sill with Joe and I dating back to the Dumaurier Golf Tournament in 1986 at the Board of Trade. I have looked at that picture daily since that time. Joe was the greatest of guys. He was always friendly and kind and never walked by anybody without smiling and saying Hello and How are you. We at the golf course will all miss joe. My condolences to the entire family.
