In memory of

Joseph Bronzi

July 9, 1925 -  August 14, 2021

The Bronzi family is saddened to announce the loss of Joseph, who passed away peacefully on August 14th, 2021 at the age of 96. Beloved husband to Nancy. Proud father of Stephanie (Michael Leach). Adored grandfather to Anastasia. Joseph will also be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. The Bronzi family also wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Carefree Lodge for their incredible care, devotion, and kindness over these past few years; that eased a great burden for the family.

A visitation will be held in Joseph’s memory on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm and a Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 pm at York Funeral Centre. Due to COVID-19, capacity is limited, so we recommend confirming attendance with the family prior to the event. In lieu of floral tributes, the Bronzi family kindly asks that you consider making a donation to a Dementia Society of your choice in Joseph’s memory. The Bronzi family greatly appreciates your ongoing support during this difficult time.

I am so glad that I was able to visit with Joe and Nancy with my husband, Wally, and our two dogs, three years ago. Joe was so happy that Penny, our one dog, spent time with Joe as he pet her and talked to her. Joe was a remarkably kind and wonderful man who had a great sense of humour and was very loved by my family - he was family. I have countless, wonderful memories of Joe because every time he showed up, he lit up the room with his warmth and jokes. I miss him so much. Rest in peace Joe.

When you grow old there is a safe in your heart where memories of your dear ones are preserved and kept alive to warm you up at any time. There you go, uncle! Preserved and alive, indeed.
