June 30, 1975 - July 27, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Austria. Born June 30, 1975.
Joseph passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on July 27, 2019 after a difficult but very courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his eternal soulmate, husband Todd Brown, his loving mother Liberty (Elimanco) and late husband Eduardo (Bulos). Loving brother to Lea, Eric (Heather), Eduardo Jr. (Elaine) and Heidi (Melynick). Loving Uncle to Melynie, Jacob, Vincent, Nickolas, Jericho and Samuel. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends in Canada, and New Hampshire, USA.

Funeral service will take place on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Pine Hills Cemetery located at 625 Birchmount Road, Scarborough, ON.

In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Leukemia Research Fund or the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care.

You are truly one of the pure friends one can have. Not a mean streak in your soul...well maybe sometimes naughty, which endears you to a lot of people who you have touched. A lot of memories, laughter and crazy stuff we did which will always be a part of your memory.

My Sincerest sympathy to Todd ,Tita Liberty, Lea, Eric, Heather, Eddie, Elaine , Heidi. Melynick. Jacob, Sam, Vincent, Melynie, Nickolas and Jericho.
Joseph was an amazing person, so talented, a great listener, advice giver, and a great friend to many. I will miss our chats at Starbucks, and him meeting me at Union Station when I would visit Toronto. He was always there to listen to me, and offer such good advice not just about life in general, but a wide range of topics. He was also one of my first roommates when I first lived in Toronto. I am so very lucky that I had him and his friendship in my life. Love you buddy, Always, Richard
