In memory of

Josef Peter Voitovici

March 15, 1936 -  February 19, 2022

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Josef (“Jupp”) Peter Voitovici. Devoted husband of 53 years to Maria. Proud father of Caroline (John) and Karin (Hubert). Cherished Opa to Brendan, Madeline, Liam and Ian. Josef was always willing to lend a hand (or one of his a thousand tools) to anyone in need. A thoughtful uncle, neighbour and friend - he touched the lives of many with his kindness. We will miss his love for his family, his humour and most of all that mischievous twinkle in his blue eyes. Our hearts are broken - the only thing he can not fix. Until we meet again on the back nine….

A private funeral will take place, with a Celebration of Life to follow in the spring. In lieu of flowers his family would appreciate donations to the Lakeridge Health Cancer Centre (https://ourcancer.ca/).

As you walk down the fairway of life, you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round. (Ben Hogan)

I learned years ago what a special , wise, caring person “Caroline’s dad” was… he will be missed by many, especially Caroline. So happy to know the most favourite long weekend, “Family Day”, was not missed in 2022 although it will never be the same again as Jupp will be watching from afar…. Rest In Peace, you were a wonderful dad.

Our sincerest condolences to Caroline and family. It’s never easy to lose a loved one, especially a parent. But we hope taking comfort in all your cherished memories with your father will lessen your sadness. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
