Josef Mattes

Passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018 at home at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late June. Cherished father of Josef (Geraldine), Pauline (Mile), Anna (late George) and Bernhard (Catherine). Predeceased by his son Frank. Lovingly missed by ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Survived by two sisters Lorie and Anna in Germany. Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Cemetery & Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Rd., north of St. Clair Ave. E., Scarborough, 416-267-8229) on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
