In memory of

Jose Adriano Reyes

November 28, 1941 -  July 24, 2024

God peacefully called Jose Adriano Reyes home on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. In life he was dearly loved and in death he will be forever remembered and missed by his wife Maternidad and children Josephine (Glynn), Jeanette (Darryl), and Marcia. Jose was a proud and dedicated grandfather to Eric, Brandon, Ryan, and Sean. He touched the lives of all through his unwavering kindness, compassion and dedication, and is leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his siblings, relatives and friends. Now, he is reunited in Heaven with his mother, Marcelina, father, Adriano and his sister, Teresita. Jose worked hard, loved to travel, enjoyed fishing, belonged to several associations and was deeply involved in his community. A devoted Christian, he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus (Former District Deputy, Past Faithful Navigator, Past Grand Knight) over the years.

In lieu of flowers due to allergies and, if so desired, donations can be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre or The Knights of Colombus (Council #9143). Visitation will be held for Jose at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd, Toronto, Ontario, on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be at the same location on Saturday August 3, 2024 at 1:30 PM preceded by a short visitation from 12:30-1:30 PM. Light refreshments will be served following the service, at which time Jose will also be laid to rest in Pine Hills Cemetery.

Dear Mater, Josie, Jeanette and Marcia - we were so sorry to see how much Jose was suffering in the past years as his illness progressed. What was unbelievable was that he never complained and how willing he was to do his chauffeuring duties even just two weeks before he passed. May the wonderful memories you shared help to ease the pain of his loss. We remember our two trips to Kiawah Island with your family - Jose was a tireless long distance driver and how he loved to fish! We pray for his soul, may he rest in peace. God bless all of you.
