After battling courageously for the past two months and surrounded by his loving family till the end, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnson Francis Asiu on Wednesday December 26th, 2018 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. Beloved husband of 57 years to Marjorie (nee Chac Wai). Loving father to Malaine, Mimi (Frank Greiling), Melina and Edmund (Josie). Cherished GungGung to Andrew, Brandon and Tyler Greiling. Adored YehYeh to Anthony Asiu. Johnson had a warm smile, a big heart and a quiet demeanour. He appreciated the simple things in life and thoroughly enjoyed family trips with his wife, children and grandchildren. He had a passion for capturing all the wonderful moments shared, on camera, which we now have as treasured memories. Johnson will be remembered and loved forever in our prayers and in our hearts. The family will receive visitors on Friday December 28, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. (Vigil Service at 5:30 p.m.) at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centre (1535 South Gateway Road, Mississauga). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church (5650 Mavis Road, Mississauga). Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery (6933 Tomken Road, Mississauga). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada will be appreciated.
